Landini continues with its tradition of innovation and determination to enhance its product line up. Offering a modern style, cutting-edge technology and features that increase comfort and productivity. Engineers and production teams at Argo Tractors have been working round the clock with the utmost attention to detail to bring these latest models to the portfolio at reveal them at this year’s Agritechnica trade fair in Hannover.
First and foremost is the new 4 Series. This range spans the 60 to 100hp sector which calls for a wide variety of specification across the different markets both in Europe and beyond. Replacing the well-respected Alpine and Technofarm series, the 4 Series offers a unique blend of features and specification that customers will benefit from.
The six model line-up uses two engine sizes, three models from 61 to 75 HP are equipped with 2.9L Tier4 Final engines and three from 85 to 101 HP use 3.6 litre Tier4 Interim engines, which are the ones on display at Agritechnica. The 4 Series configuration starts with an Entry Level model ROPS unit with mechanical transmission. This can then be built up to versions including a totally new four-pillar cab equipped with all comforts whilst retaining a low overall height. A new 12 + 12 transmission produced in house by Argo Tractors, which can be enhanced with a Creeper, Power Shuttle, Hi-Lo Powershift. TheEco 40 top speed saves fuel and the two-speed electrohydraulic PTO delivers maximum engine power with minimal losses due to the drive train layout.
At the rear of the tractor specifications include mechanical or electronic three point linkage and an impressive 3600 kg lifting capacity. The flexibility of a 1750 kg front linkage adds to the machines operating capabilities.
The cab is one of the industry’s most spacious low profile designs and the new engine and transmission combination makes this tractor a serious contender and our dealers are excited with this new model introduction.
Landini will also unveil its new 6C Series, which takes over from Powermondial in 2014.
Available in two models, with 111 and 121 HP power ratings, they feature 4.5-liter FPT NEF Tier4 Interim engines with the SCR Selective Catalytic Reduction system. Both models are equipped with Dual Power, which increases power to 121 and 133 HP.
The new styling introduced on the 5H Tier 4i Series is incorporated along with a new four-pillar cab that combines modern design with comfort levels and finish used by the truck and automotive industry.
As to technological features, Landini’s new range has an improved 36 + 12 transmission (3 speed Powershift), an electronically controlled 5000 kg capacity rear lift. New features include the option of a four speed PTO and increased hydraulic pump capacity to 66ltr/min.. For those customers demanding higher flow rates a 110 ltr/min closed center system may be specified.
Options also include Cab Suspension and suspended front axle for increased comfort and reduced operator stress on rough ground and increased safety on the road. These combined with the higher transport speeds help reduce transport cycle times. The 6C Series offers a versatile package with a good choice of specification but light enough for those tasks such as planting or grassland work where compaction needs to be minimised.
Also on display are the new 6 & 7 Series which demonstrate Landini’s commitment to compete in the 130 to 200 hp sector
Each series has three models 143 to 166 HP (175 HP with Dual Power) 4-cylinder models (structural engines), and 165 to 188 HP (175 to 212 HP with Dual Power) 6-cylinder models with chassis-mounted engines. All are built by FPT NEF Tier 4 Interim Common Rail engines and deliver superior torque rise and low fuel consumption. The cooling package is easily accessed for routine cleaning.
The “Roboshift” transmission is just one of the characteristics common to both ranges and has a hydraulic reverse shuttle with adjustable modulation.
The 24 well-spaced speeds provide a good working range, each range gear is push button shift and is executed by the exclusive robotized range shift mechanism. The multi-function joystick and armrest control are all to hand for ease of operation. An “Auto Powershift -APS” operates in all ranges and the shift points can be set by the operator to suit the task in hand this also makes for easier driving in the field or during transport work on the roads. The creeper may be installed increasing the overall number of speeds to 40F + 40R.
All models in the new 6 Series and 7 Series feature the Load Sensing hydraulic system with 167 l/min (123 l/min dedicated to remote services). The steering and lubrication circuits are supplied from dedicated pumps. An impressive lift capacity of 9,300 kg ensures these tractors can handle the equipment with ease and have ride control during transport cycles.
The 4-speed electro-hydraulically controlled rear PTO is also standard equipment, while the electronically controlled front PTO is available on request with the front linkage.
Landini’s new 6 Series and 7 Series offer new levels of driver comfort thanks to the new four-pillar “Lounge Cab”. A true masterpiece of design, space and comfort is finished with materials used within the commercial and automotive industries.
New lighting packages ensure perfect night visibility. Climbing the steps one appreciates the sturdy door handles and closing catches to keep the cab fully pressurized and the dust kept out .
All controls are arranged logically, while other features include the tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, with integrated instrument panel that remains in the correct position relative to the steering position selected.
Electronic engine speed memory plus Headland management functions can all be programmed as well. Plus “My switch” that selects a particular function frequently used.
Passengers can ride in comfort on the new patented seat, which folds completely out of sight making it easier to get in and out of the tractor.
Finally the option of a driver’s seat with ventilated and heated backrest to the air conditioned glove compartment, while the standard equipment also includes the radio with USB port, Bluetooth microphone and 4 loud speakers.
Comfort and performance from features such as front axle and cab suspension make this a true contender in today’s market place.
