KICK-OFF FOR “LANDINI 130 HOURS ENDURANCE”
Just a few hours to the kick-off. The football world champion Gianluca Zambrotta will drive in the first day of Endurance test. Next comes a long relay made up of a large number of Italian and European journalists. A special invitation extended to the Minister of Agriculture Maurizio Martina. Eight sponsors will take part to the event by joining their brands to Landini.
“Landini 130 hours Endurance”, an event organized by Argo Tractors Group to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Landini brand, will start early in the morning on October the 6th. During the day, also the football World Champion Gianluca Zambrotta will drive the “7-215” Landini tractor on 4×4 off-road track within “Il Ciocco”, an estate in Barga di Garfagnana, province of Lucca
The engine will have to run nonstop for 130 hours, one for every year of Landini trademark, and for every kilometer covered by the tractor 1 € will be given to charity. Utmost attention to driving then. Technical stops only allowed for refueling and change of driver, one per every single hour drive.
Among pilots joining the event from 14 different Countries, there will be high-level European journalists working in the most different industry sectors: from automotive to road haulage, from Off Road to boating, this one being represented by the Off-Shore World champion Maurizio Bulleri.
In order to support the tractor and its huge task Argo Tractors will provide a dedicated technical staff integrated with a number of specialists belonging to the eight sponsors joining the Emilian brand in this adventure.
First of all FPT Powertrain Technologies and ZF, world-wide renown brands for the manufacture of engine and transmission respectively, being fitted to the tractor. Both brands have seen the opportunity to have the relevant components undergo an outstanding reliability test, particularly because a third international renown brand i.e. the REXROTH-BOSCH Group will ensure the supervision and monitoring in real time of all mechatronic units, both at an hydraulic and electronic level.
It will be up to MICHELIN, and in particular to its tires XeoBib®, the task of converting the available driving torque into a stable, progressive and trouble-free propulsion.
The “DENSO” automatic air-conditioner makes it possible for the pilot to adapt temperature and humidity inside the cab according to his needs. The latest generation, air-suspended “GRAMMER” seat, recognizes the drivers’ weight and automatically conforms the vibration and shock-absorbing rate accordingly.
On their turn, thanks to their AdBlue® and fuel tanks, ADAM PUMPS’ staff will have the task to perform refueling operations being required to ensure a smooth, non-stop operation to complete the test by noon Saturday the 11th after having covered as many kilometers as possible.
By that moment the eighth partner, MARCHESI DE’ FRESCOBALDI, will make its entry. With its superb wines the event will end on a very high note.
