The 2024 edition has a special flavour for the Italian company as its celebrating 140 years of the historic Landini brand.

This is an important milestone that coincides with the opening of a new plant in Campagnola Emilia, which since the beginning of the year has started production of Argo Tractors transmissions, previously manufactured in the Italian multinational’s other production sites.

 

Landini REX 4

The 120GT Dynamic version of the Landini REX4 won the Tractor of the Year 2024 in the Best of Specialized category, thanks to innovative elements such as the RoboShift transmission, designed and manufactured in the Italian factories of Argo Tractors.

All versions are equipped with HML and creeper, taking the gears to 48 Forward +16 Reverse. The most important updates of the Model Year 2025 affect the electro-hydraulic spool valves, with new ergonomics and new configurations. Significant improvements have been made to the cab, both structurally (with a flat floor to enhance operator comfort) and in terms of insulation, which has benefited from thermal and acoustic improvements.

The engine for the Model Year 2025 remains the same: Deutz AG 2.9-litre, with power ranging from 75 to 112 hp, Stage V emission thanks to the DPF particulate filter with passive regeneration, DOC oxidation catalyst and, for models over 75hp, the SCR selective emission reduction catalyst with a AdBlue^® tank with a practical quick-fill system.

A significant novelty is the introduction of two specific packages: Dynamic and Dynamic+. Dynamic is equipped with an electro-hydraulic reverse shuttle, HML and fully robotised gears, managed via a SmartPilot Plus multifunction joystick that allows the operator to quickly and intuitively control the rear power lift, PTO engagement, and engine revs. Similarly, the Advanced Driving System offers electric power steering to reduce the load on the steering wheel, maintain directionality of the front wheels in all conditions and stiffen the steering as speed increases, while ensuring complete integration with assisted steering systems for precision farming operations. There is a Stop & Action function that allows the tractor to be stopped by pressing on the brakes and without using the clutch pedal.

The Dynamic+ package features everything described above, plus additional functions and devices: 4 electronically controlled electro-hydraulic rear spool valves, the innovative multifunctional armrest integrated into the swivelling seat (16 degrees to the right and 8 degrees to the left), the availability of the 10-inch touch screen Data Screen Manager (DSM) monitor for quick and intuitive operation of most tractor functions.

The Landini Fleet & Remote Diagnostics Management telemetry protocol is also included, as well as the Landini Farm Management system.

At the Bologna fair, a special version named Landini REX4 Energy is a candidate for EIMA’s Innovation Award. This model features an under-bonnet generator and inverter connected to the endothermic engine capable of supplying electricity to a ventral and a rear socket that power electric implements. For example, its 10kW, 48 volt power allows the latest generation of electric mistblowers to work at low engine speeds with reduced consumption and noise. A further advantage is that it removes the cardan shaft from the work site, thereby improving manoeuvrability and increasing safety when hitching and unhitching implements. The tractor, which has a 75hp Deutz AG diesel engine, is a 4-080 model without SCR, compatible with HVO fuels and with a maintenance interval that can be extended to 1,000 hours when Ultra-low Ash engine oil is used.

 

Landini TREKKER4 MY25

The Landini Trekker4 MY25, which makes an appearance at the fair with new solutions connected to the driving controls, spool valves, platform and tank, is a finalist for Tractor of the Year 2025 in the Best of Specialized category. The tractor is equipped with a passive regeneration DPF, a DOC oxidation catalyst and, only for models with over 75 horsepower, the SCR selective emission reduction catalyst and with a 10.5-litre AdBlue tank.

The five models available – 4-085, 4-095, 4-105, 4-110 and 4-120 – fitted with 2.9-litre Deutz AG engines, offer power outputs ranging from a minimum of 75 hp up to a maximum of 112 hp. They are available in versions F (orchards and vineyards) and M (mountains, hills, open field or particularly wide orchards) and are fitted with 450 mm metal or rubber tracks.

It has always been regarded as a reliable and high-performance product, and aims to improve operator comfort thanks to targeted interventions on the operator controls and on the cab suspension, which now features four hydro silent blocks, two at the front and two at the rear for better insulation against dust and noise, combined with an ergonomic seat with air suspension. A new category 4 roof (with active carbon filters) is also available, ensuring that the operator can work safely even during chemicals treatments.

The transmission is available with 16 forward and 8 reverse gears; with creeper for forward gears (or with overdrive). For the first time, an 84-litre triple pump for services is introduced on this model, in addition to a further 28 litres for steering to speed up and facilitate all operations with ventral and rear implements.

The tractor is available with cab or platform.

On the M version, the track can also be made of 450 mm rubber. As with the best-equipped tractors, the Trekker4 is also fitted with the most innovative digital systems such as Landini Fleet & Remote Diagnostics Management (for fleet management and remote servicing by the dealer’s workshop or parent company) and Landini Farm (for farm management from an agronomic and warehouse perspective). The engine service interval has been extended to one thousand hours.

 

 Landini 5-085

The Landini 5-085, in the full-option version and with Roboshift transmission, is the light-utility suitable for many farm and field tasks. At a design level, the 5-085 model benefits from the new Landini Family Feeling, complete with LED lighting and also available with the BlueIcon finish (the exclusive metallic blue livery combined with a wide range of specifications).

Along with the new RoboShift transmission, a new, completely redesigned console has been introduced on the right-hand side, which is more comfortable for the operator. It features the new SmartPilot joystick, which allows control of all the main functions: rear hitch, transmission, PTO, de-clutch and electro-hydraulic reverse shuttle.

ADS+ is available, a steering system designed primarily to improve operator comfort. It combines two-stage power steering with the EazySteer function (usually available on the top of the range models), which allows steering to be completed using only one and a half turns of the steering wheel, facilitating headland manoeuvres. Moreover, ADS+, which is already compatible with assisted satellite guidance systems, reduces vibrations, increases steering wheel stiffness as speed increases and, thanks to this technology, during manoeuvring the steering wheel behaves exactly like that of a car and is able to realign itself automatically.

Under the bonnet is a 75 hp FPT (3.4-litre four-cylinder, Stage V) drive unit but with a torque reserve of 56%, unique in its segment. This feature gives it a maximum torque comparable to that of a 90 hp tractor but with the advantage of not having to use AdBlue for exhaust gas treatment, which saves on maintenance and fuel consumption.

The tractor can be equipped with the L15 front loader, which can be operated via the joystick in the cab.

 

 Landini Serie 7 Smart Cab

The Serie 7 Robo-Six Stage V features engines ranging from 190 to 225 hp: the 24-valve, 6.7-litre engine uses DOC and SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) for exhaust gas treatment.

The main innovations are concentrated in the Smart Cab, the heavily redesigned cabin that boasts a 14% increase in interior space. Visibility is improved (with a 16% increase in the glazed area) and noise and temperatures are reduced thanks to the new Comfort Sky® athermic glass developed by Saint Gobain. On the outside, there are new LED light clusters both front and rear, new rear-view mirrors and a restyled roof that increases the height space for the operator, while inside there is a new infotainment system that can be integrated with Apple Car and Android Auto and a new cooler compartment, as well as a new dashboard.

Also new are the interior trim in automotive-style plastics and a four-speaker Alpine audio system. A redesigned digital cluster is located behind the steering wheel, which functions as a projector for better management of all tractor functions and integrates perfectly with the 12” DSM Plus monitor positioned on the multifunctional armrest.

Driving comfort is ensured by the Eazysteer function for electronic steering modulation in combination with assisted satellite guidance options and by the cab suspension, which can adjust rigidity by intervening on shock and vibration absorption either mechanically or by means of the electro-hydraulically controlled Semi-Active anti Damping system.

Efficiency in transport mode is enhanced by Engine Brake system that, in combination with the throttle valve of the turbocharger, enables the operator to reduce engine rpm by operating the engine brake together with the rear brakes.

The Stop & Action system allows the operator to simply bring the tractor to a halt by pressing the brake pedals that double as De-clutch controls, enabling the Robo-Six transmission to provide a smooth ride comparable to that of a continuously variable transmission. The APS (Auto Powershift) system also adds driving comfort, guaranteeing optimal and automatic range and gear shifting thanks to speed-matching and load control.

The high technological level of this tractor is guaranteed by the Landini Fleet & Remote Diagnostics Management, a system designed to measure the efficiency of the vehicle in terms of fuel consumption, operating hours and service reminders, all integrated in a portal that allows fleet managers to maximise use and monitor operating costs.

Landini REX Tier 3

A reliable speciality tractor, 100% made in Italy, offering Synchro Shuttle mechanical transmissions, or Reverse Power Shuttle with 12+12 speed engagement modulation.

The models are powered by Perkins 4-cylinder, 8-valve 4.4-litre engines, with horsepower ranging from a minimum of 75 to a maximum of 111, maximum torque between 256 and 416 Nm, and a 61-litre fuel tank.

 

 

Landini Powerfarm II

With 4.4-litre Perkins four-cylinder engines, the available models are the 100, 110 and 120, which have 92.5, 102 and 110.6 hp respectively.
The new feature of this product involves the transmissions, with the elimination of the Synchro Shuttle for reversing: in its place is the electro-hydraulic reverse shuttle lever on the left, on the dashboard, and the reverse shuttle adjustment.

In addition to the 12+12 or 16+16 transmissions with creeper, versions with a three powershift combined hydraulic reverse shuttle (H-M-L) are also available as an option, which triples the gears of the basic transmission, providing a total of 36 forward and 12 reverse gears and 48+16 with HML and Creeper.

The hydraulic capacity assisting the rear hitch and spool valves is 52 litres as standard, but a new 60-litre pump is available as an option. The dedicated steering pump offers a good 30 l/min. Rear coupling capacity is increased to a maximum of 4500 kilograms (with two additional cylinders) with optional electronic hitch control.
