Kimberley welcomes new Landini dealership
Farmers in the Hopetown, Douglas, Prieska, Groblershoop and Luckhof areas can look forward to having a trusted Landini dealer for both new and used tractors, as well as agricultural implements on their door step in Kimberley.
Schweizer Landini, Argo Tractors South Africa’s Dealer of the Year for 2023, recently opened a new branch in Kimberley with in-house experts to provide the best advice and focused service.
According to PJ van der Merwe, owner of the new dealership, services such as sales, parts, maintenance, and repairs can in future be obtained at the dealership in Kimberley staffed by six competent and hard-working staff members.
“The staff will be able to give the best advice regarding the best suited tractor model or agricultural implements for ground engaging, cutting, cultivation, planting, crop protection and harvesting purposes.
The dealership is located at 10 Fabricia Road in Kimberley, near the N7 highway.
Van der Merwe explains that they will offer a wide range of tractors to cater to every need of the farmer – from small garden tractors up to the large, hard-working tractors needed for crop production. “As the agricultural sector is getting more competitive and input costs rise it becomes imperative that we cater to the specific needs of our clients.”
“Because we cater to an area focusing on row and irrigation crops, as well as orchard production, livestock, and game, we slightly adapted our offering to cater to the needs of these diverse farming activities. Our new location puts us in a position to offer a comprehensive and affordable service to our clients in the area.”
According to him they have the total range of tractor models in both the Landini and McCormick brands available.
According to van der Merwe, the success of the new dealership lies in the fact that many of the clients formerly had to travel to Schweizer Reneke or the mechanics had to travel vast distances to service clients some 300 km away. “With the new dealership we will save farmers time and money. We will be able to minimise downtime. When a tractor breaks down, having the necessary parts in stock closer to the farm, can significantly reduce the downtime, ensuring that the farmer will be able to return to his operations with minimal disruption.”
